Hi friends, I have a brand new commission to share with you all. It was such a pleasure to briefly take a mental trip back to my tropical roots while creating this lovely painting. The client wanted a painting of her house in Kauai and it was so fun for me to paint the vibrant tropical vegetation just like I used to when I was a kid. This piece also had another layer of meaning beyond the house as the tennis racket and balls were meant to be a symbolic commemoration of the clients late husband. I hope you enjoy the photos of the piece. The painting was only 8”x8” so I really tried to pack every detail that I could into this one.
