Hello friends, I just wanted to give you a glimpse of a piece that I’ve been working on lately!
One night before going to bed I had the sudden idea to paint a lit candle instead of a glowing animal for a new painting. I liked this concept because it seemed simple, timeless and also magical. And once I felt good about this idea, I locked myself in our closet for a few hours photographing my own hands with a single light source (Christmas light) in order to get the perfect shot to paint from. This piece has been coming along nicely and has been an absolute joy to paint!
