Influence

This commissioned painting was made to resemble my digital pieces "White Forest" and "Underwater Trees." This gestural abstract style was developed by drawing inspiration from trees, plants, foliage and many other components of the natural world. The composition of this painting grew from a singular spot and layers influenced other layers. In reflecting on this painting I think of family and how spreads and grows yet still retains ties to it source. Love and care connect us to our families even when there is distance between us.
