This piece is a continuation in style and concept of both "Rain Squall" and "Infinite."The scene was inspired by the Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado but the stylization was inspired by the movement of water. This piece explores themes of detachment from reality, movement and interconnectedness. This series of paintings is an effort to make a visual representation of my personal emotional response to stunning environments. Elements such as scale, vastness, distance and movement within an environment are sometime incomprehensibly to humans and we cannot explain our visceral reaction to these with an sort of logic.
